Volunteer Requirements

Due to the size of our team, we require parent volunteers. We cannot pull off a meet without volunteers!

  • All families must complete a minimum of 4 shifts per season
  • We will provide training, along with all the materials you need. Alycia Hennis is the point person for volunteers – contact Alycia with any questions.
  • NOTE: We have separate signups for City Meet & Finals 
  • In order for your swimmer to swim in Finals, all volunteer shifts must be complete by the end of our regular meet season (July 1st).

Volunteer Signups

How to Signup for additional Volunteer Jobs after Registration (which requires signing up for minimum 4 shifts):

  1. Once you have signed up your swimmer for the meet, you can THEN click the green JOB SIGNUP tab and sign up for volunteer shifts (note one parent may sign up both parents for jobs -- scroll down and you’ll see the other parent listed). If you know you and your spouse will not be at this meet, skip to Swimmer Signup.
  2. Click Save Assignments.
  3. Click Back to Signup Calendar.
  4. Click Save to record your choices.

2025 Stroke & Turn Judge Training

The League offers training for Stroke & Turn judges. Every team in the League must provide trained judges for each meet. The more trained judges, the easier the commitment! 
Parents interested should attend ONE of GFSL training.  New in 2025, GFSL will be offering online training path for returning Stroke & Turn judges.  New judges will have in-person training sessions with clinic dates TBD.
