Waterford Stingrays

Nathan Durrell is not only a Waterford Stingray parent, he is also lifelong swimmer and coach with a deep passion for every level of the sport. Nathan grew up as a summer swimmer in Lexington and his professional career includes over two decades of leadership in USA Swimming. He spent several years with STAR Aquatics, working with many national and international-level athletes while developing their Age Group program, before joining TYDE in 2013. There, he served as Head Age Group Coach and eventually the team’s Head Coach and Executive Director of Aquatics. This summer, Nathan is most excited to mentor our young coaching staff, and to help every Stingray, from beginners of all ages to our experienced senior swimmers, to learn, grow, and have a lot of fun!

Hi my name is Khloe!  This fall, I will be a senior at West Forsyth.  This is my 13th season as a Stingray and my 3rd year coaching.  I have swam competitively for TYDE, Enfinity, and West Forsyth.  Last year, I served as a captain on the West Forsyth Swim & Dive Team.  I teach group and private lessons at the YMCA year round and at Waterford during the summer.  Out of the water, I enjoy golfing.  I am super excited for another great season with the Stingrays!  

Hey my name is Ian.  I will be a Senior at West Forsyth this fall.  I've swam on the Waterford Swim team for 11 years, swam for TYDE and Enfinity, and I've swam for West Forsyth for 3 years.  About me: I love fishing, playing lacrosse, and being outside.  I'm very excited to get back in the water and have fun this season.

Hi Stingrays!  My name is Russ and I'm finishing my freshman year at Reagan High School.  I've swam with Waterford for the last 10 years.  I also swim for TYDE and for Reagan.  I'm really excited to be coaching this summer.

Hey my name is Nolan and this is my 9th year swimming for Waterford.  I'll be a sophomore at West Forsyth next year and I am on the swim team there.  I have also been swimming competitively with TYDE for the past 8 years.  I can't wait to start my 1st year coaching for Waterford and am excited for the opportunity to help kids learn to love swim and to have fun!

Hello!  I am Nathan Strickland.  I will be attending UNC Greensboro in the fall and I love golf.  I am very happy to be working with every one of you!

Hi, my name is Gigi!  I'm a rising senior at West Forsyth High School and this is my 11th season swimming with Waterford.  I've been swimming since I was 5 and I swam the past 3 years for my High School team.  I also swim for TYDE at the YMCA.  I'm looking forward to a great season and excited to take on the role of coach!
