WF Stingrays: Weekly Update 8 - June 25th
Hello Stingray Families!
Just like that we are headed into our last week of June! Thank you to EVERYONE for pivoting with us last week on the daily while we got to try and predict the weather. I think our accuracy is right on par with the weather folks on TV! This week looks so much better.
Can we talk about Friday's City Meet for a second!?! City Meet brought everything you could ask for! Rain, brutal sunshine, Coaches in Finding Nemo costumes and fast swimming!! We came back to Waterford with the Spirit Award for showing the most team spirit and decorating for the team AND we took 2nd place overall!!
Not to mention we broke 3 City Meet Records!!!
- 9-10- boys Medley Relay
- 11-12 boys Medley Relay
- 11-12 boys Free relay
High point awards (top swimmer in their age category) went to:
- Holden Carruthers 9/10 boys
- Nolan Hennis 11/12 boys
- Eva Beekman 13/14 girls
Such amazing work by our Stingrays on a job well done! This proves that not only can we compete, but we have a lot of fun and spirit!!
