Stingray Families -

Tomorrow night (Tuesday, June 28th) the Waterford Stingrays face off against the Brookberry Fins. This should be a competitive meet - we can't wait to see some fast swimming! Remember to hydrate and rest up tomorrow after morning practice!

As you plan for this Away Meet, here is some information from Brookberry to help with planning:

• Brookberry Pool address - 760 Brookberry Farm Circle, Winston-Salem, NC
• Parking - BBF lot is first come first served. Street parking on the pool side of the road is available, we just ask that you observe the no parking signs. 
• Concessions - Pizza, Chick Fil A, Snack foods, and drinks will be available and CASH or VENMO are the only accepted forms of payment. Kona Ice will be on site and will take cash or card. 
• Order of Events - we will move the 6 and Under backstroke events (43 and 44) to immediately following the freestyle events (after event 24)
• What to Bring - You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring chairs or tents to use on our pool deck. Waterford will set up on the deep end side of the pool, however, feel free to grab a table and umbrella anywhere if one is open. 
• Timing - The deck will be open at 4:30 for WF families to start arriving. BBF will start warm ups at 4:45 - 5:05 and WF will have warm ups from 5:05 - 5:25. Meet will begin at 5:30. We will have a timer/ volunteer meeting at 5:15.
• No Free Swimming - Our zero entry shallow end and the deep end of the pool will be closed for the duration of the meet. I know it is tempting to walk through that area or dip toes in the water but please help us to keep everyone safe and those areas closed.
• FYI - BBF will be taking their annual team photo before the meet this week. We will (hopefully) be done by 4:40 as to not delay warm ups.
• Heat Sheet - We will email it out tomorrow as soon as it is ready. Each team has until 11:30am to submit their entries, so don't expect it before noon.

As a side note, once again we are so lucky to have Kai Cornatzer do her amazing work compiling our end-of-season Stingrays video!! If you have photos from swim meets, practices, or anything Stingray-related, please email them to Kai! Our goal is to have ALL swimmers represented in the video. Email Kai at [email protected].
